Xavier was quickly put into a better mood once Eternity had wrapped her arms around him. The smell of her skin and a perfume he didn't recognize engulfed him and he breathed in deep. He returned the embrace, along with the kiss, and then let two of his fingers gently curl down playfully through her dark hair before dropping them back to his side. That was one of his favorite things to do-touch her hair. She asked if he'd been waiting long, and he discreetly shot a grin at Hudson, hoping he'd keep quiet. "Not at all. You seem to be in a good mood, love."

Another batch of humans, appearing slightly less drunk than the previous ones, was walking toward them. At least, they had appeared human. As they neared, he could more carefully view the way they carried themselves. They looked much more vampiric up close. One of the three males in the group caught a glimpse of Eternity, and let his eyes drop lower as they got closer. With a flicker of irritation, he stepped in front of Eternity to cut off his view of her. Out of habit, he muttered in the back of his mind: She isn't working tonight, loverboy.

A good thing, too. Xavier was looking forward to a night of fun after such a busy week. Unfortunately, vacation season was fast approaching and he knew these special nights would be few and far between. To lighten his mood, he let his eyes catch Eternity's and knew the smile that would play across his face to catch her already looking at him. It never failed. "Where would you like to go tonight, beautiful? The club? Dinner? Both?"

Of course, dinner with Eternity was never very traditional. He pressured her into going out to eat food with him one time, but that didn't turn out so well. Since then, Xavier's grown to find enjoyment in watching her feed, in watching her predatory state--not that he ever got too close.
