Video is everywhere at the International Avaya Users Group event in Boston this week and Carousel Industries is in the thick of it. Visitors to the Carousel booth can learn how the company can help them integrate their various existing video platforms with one another and with various clients, helping them preserve existing investments while enabling new video capabilities for employees, partners and customers.

One demo shows the integration of a Polycom H.223 IP-based room-based video system with the Avaya Flare SIP-based mobile video client, says Dan Hofferty, National Sales Manager, Visual Communications, Carousel Industries.

The idea is to integrate all the types of room, desktop and mobile video systems a company may have with a single core system, such that any client can conduct video sessions with any of a company?s video tools. That includes mobile clients such as iPhones and iPads, an increasingly crucial capability in the BYOD era, Hofferty says. Enabling employees to participate in videoconferences whether they?re at their desk or in a hotel room is an important capability ? and Carousel can help customers deliver.
