Weather and roads clear in midstate as busiest travel day of the year ...

HARRISBURG - Both the weather and road conditions appear to be cooperating this morning as midstaters prepare for the day before Thanksgiving, traditionally considered the busiest travel day of the year.

The Harrisburg International Airport reports that all arriving and departing flights are on time as of 6 a.m.

Officials with the Pennsylvania Turnpike said there are no major accidents or disruptions that could cause delays this morning.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation also reports no delays on major highways and interstates.

There are no delays reported at the Amtrak station in Harrisburg.

The National Weather Service in State College said today will be mostly clear with plenty of sunshine and a high of 53 for the Harrisburg area.

For Thanksgiving Day, the high will be 54 with sunny skies, according to the weather service.
